Welcome to Scents by Tara. By accessing or purchasing from our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. General

Scents by Tara reserves the right to update, change or replace these Terms of Service at any time. It is your responsibility to check this page for any changes.

2. Products

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, colours and fragrances are represented as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to handmade production and differences in screens and devices.

Our candles and diffusers are handmade products, and minor variations may occur between individual items.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD), unless otherwise stated.

Scents by Tara reserves the right to change product prices at any time without notice. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed and paid for.

4. Orders

Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation email.

Scents by Tara reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where necessary, including where a product is unavailable, an incorrect price has been displayed, or there is an issue with payment.

If your order is cancelled after payment has been received, you will be refunded the amount paid for the cancelled order.

5. Payment

Payment must be received in full before an order can be processed and dispatched.

We accept the payment methods made available through our Shopify checkout.

6. Shipping

Orders are processed and shipped in accordance with our Shipping Policy.

Once an order has been handed to the shipping provider, delivery times are outside of our direct control. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further information.

7. Returns, Refunds and Consumer Rights

Scents by Tara aims to provide quality products and customer service.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

If a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe or does not meet a consumer guarantee, please contact us so we can assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.

Change-of-mind returns may be subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

8. Candle and Diffuser Safety

Our products must be used in accordance with the safety instructions provided with the product.

Customers are responsible for following all candle and diffuser safety instructions. Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep candles and diffusers away from children, pets, flammable materials and other hazards.

Scents by Tara is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, failure to follow safety instructions or improper use of our products.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Scents by Tara website, including photographs, logos, branding, product descriptions, graphics and written content, is the property of Scents by Tara unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced or used without prior written permission.

10. Website Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to engage in any activity that could damage, interfere with or compromise the operation or security of our website.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Scents by Tara is not responsible for losses or damage arising from the misuse of our products or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
